How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your account and associated personal information from the Immanuel Word Ministries mobile app, please follow these steps:
- Complete the Form Below: Fill out the account deletion request form on this page with your full name (first and last) and the username associated with your account. This helps us verify your identity and locate your account.
- Submit Your Request: Click the “Submit” button after completing the form. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your request within 48 hours.
- Verification Process: We may contact you at the email address linked to your account (if provided) to confirm your request. Please respond to any verification email within 7 days to proceed with deletion.
- Deletion Confirmation: Once verified, your account will be deleted within 14 business days. You will receive a final email confirming the deletion.
Alternatively, you can email your request directly to info@iwministries.org with your full name and username, following the same verification process.
Data Deleted and Retained
When you request account deletion, we will take the following actions regarding your data:
Data Deleted: The following personal information will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your first and last name.
- Your username and password.
- Any additional information you voluntarily provided through the app (e.g., via contact forms).
Data Retained: We may retain certain non-personal or aggregated data for analytics purposes, such as usage statistics, which does not identify you individually. Additionally, we may keep limited records (e.g., deletion request logs) as required by law or for auditing purposes, but these will not include your personal information.
Retention Period: Personal data is deleted within 14 business days of your verified request. Any retained non-personal data or legal records may be kept for up to 12 months, after which they are anonymized or deleted, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
Important Notes
App Functionality: After account deletion, you will no longer be able to access features of the IMW Mobile app that require an account, such as personalized settings.
External Sites: This process only applies to data held by Immanuel Word Ministries. Data you shared with external sites linked through the app (e.g., social media pages or PayPal for donations) is governed by those sites’ policies and must be managed separately.
